Research

The BANDAS Center deals with methods of data analysis that are used for Big Data. The focus of the center is divided into two main areas: (1) Business Analytics deals with the opportunities and challenges of applying new data-driven technologies in businesses and (2) Data Science deals with fundamental and methodological questions of data-driven technologies and also with their effects on business and society (technology impact assessment).

In addition to the Center's internal research, the BANDAS Center maintains research co-operations with other departments of the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences. Furthermore, it is in contact with national and international research institutions in the field of data-driven technologies and serves as a link to the Graz University of Technology.
