Max Jung Lab
The Max Jung Lab is a research facility for conducting economic and social science experiments. Researchers from the University of Graz and their international cooperation partners use the lab to study how people make decisions and interact with each other in different contexts, including experimental markets, societies and organizations.
History of the Max Jung Lab
The Max Jung Lab was founded in 2008 and is named in memory of Maximilian Jung, one of the pioneers of experimental economics at the University of Graz, who died at the age of just 38. He was Dean of Studies at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences and, together with Ulrike Leopold-Wildburger, established experimental economic research at the University of Graz.
Since 2019, the lab has been part of the newly founded Business Analytics and Data Science Center at the University of Graz.
Services
The lab has 16 workstations, which are managed and controlled by a lab server. Equipped with removable partitions between the workstations, the lab is suitable for both teaching and research.
Further information
All students of the Graz universities are cordially invited to participate in the experiments in the Max Jung Lab. If you are interested, please register here to receive invitations to experiments.
All questions and concerns, e.g. about registering for experiments, using the lab (which is also possible for guest researchers) or visiting the lab, can be directed to experimente@uni-graz.at.
